Being in charge of your Life means being in charge of yourself!

In an age of increasing political correctness where new technology pervades every pore of our being and where friendships and conversations increasingly take place via SMS or email, is it any wonder that so many of us find ourselves in the situation of not knowing what to do for the best?

Not only does life seem to get more complicated, now it seems that the array of self-help guides and Television Guru’s are as diverse and complicated as the endless string of sliming aids and dietary advice available from everyone from qualified practitioners to game show presenters, so why should Life Coaching even be considered?
Let us first consider what Life Coaching actually is:

Put simply, Life Coaching is a powerful process that supports normal people, people like you, to make changes to their outlook, opinions, decision-making and lives in order to release and realise the potential within.

Why is Life Coaching relevant to me?
Most of us have dreams that we would like to realise, things we would like to do differently in our private and / or corporate lives. We are full of good intentions yet we are all so busy with everything else that the changes seem too huge or overwhelming to contemplate.

Some of us reach crossroads in our lives where the way forward is far from clear and often, when we are in any doubt as to what to do for the best, generally the easiest answer is procrastinate and do nothing.

In life, most of us have conditioned ourselves to take the line of least resistance, the easy way out. How many times have you heard people opt for the easy life? Every day, every week, being human you have probably made this choice for yourself on many occasions too, but you must appreciate that it is a choice that you have made, whether actively or through force of habit, you have become the sum of the decisions that you have made to date.

Let’s repeat that again:

“You are the sum of the decisions that you have made to date”

How does Life Coaching work ?
Put simply, Life Coaching is a non-judgemental collaboration between you and your Life Coach where you can learn to assess yourself and your life through structured conversations and exercises in order to realise your true potential.

This process is non-confrontational, is totally confidential and each session is unique to you! Just as you are a unique individual, so too are the many Life Coaches and Practitioners and each uses a variety of techniques to help you on your way.

If you truly are ‘the sum of the decisions that you have made to date’ then where you are right now is probably the result of many years of personal conditioning, you may not even realise that this is what has been happening to you and you must appreciate that engaging a Life Coach is rarely a one-visit cure-all.

How many sessions will I need?
To maximise the return from your coaching experience, we recommend that structured sessions with your Life Coach should be scheduled on a regular and progressive basis.

“When attempting to eat an Elephant you must first appreciate that this is not a one-course dining experience. Instead, just take bite-sized chunks, little and often otherwise the task may appear unachievable and you will give up!”

Life Coaches are not Magicians and this is not an instant ‘quick fix’ either as you could not realistically expect to successfully make such a transition overnight. Instead, your Life Coach will work with you to gradually build up a clear picture of your goals, your priorities, your opportunities and your way forwards, all of which will be broken down into bite-sized chunks!

Life Coaches work on a one-to-one basis with private and corporate clients alike when your Coach will work with you on your personal voyage of discovery, enabling and empowering you to:

  • Identify where you are right now
  • Establish and define the obstacles in your path and what’s holding you back
  • Discover keys to strengthen and build your confidence
  • Prioritise your objectives within a realistic time-scale
  • Develop a realistic and achievable action plan in order to set you on your way

If you genuinely want to optimise the personal potential in your life and in your work, if you want more time, higher energy levels, more rewarding and fulfilling relationships, greater inspiration and most importantly, if you want to lead a genuinely happier and more rewarding life, then we think that Life Coaching is well worth the time and effort involved.
